Lofty Heights to Close Operations on 30th June 2026

Lofty Heights CIC today announced that the organisation will formally cease operations on 30th June 2026.

Since it’s founding 14 years ago, Lofty Heights has worked to support individuals and communities through its clearance and decluttering services, skills academies for young people, partnership working, and community-focused development projects. Its work has helped people regain safe, usable homes, supported young people to build confidence and skills, and brought practical help to individuals and families at difficult points in their lives.

Over the course of its operation, the organisation has collaborated with local stakeholders, service providers, and supporters to help address education, wellbeing, and community challenges across the areas it serves.

The decision to close has been made following careful consideration by the Board of Directors and senior leadership. Despite sustained efforts to secure long-term operational funding and develop new partnership opportunities, the current financial and operational environment has made it increasingly difficult to continue delivering services in a sustainable way.

A spokesperson for Lofty Heights said:

“This has been an extremely difficult decision. We are proud of the work achieved through Lofty Heights and grateful to every partner, supporter, volunteer, colleague, and individual who has contributed to the organisation’s journey.

While operations are coming to an end, we remain committed to ensuring an orderly and responsible closure process that prioritises transparency, clear communication, and support for those affected.”

Over the coming weeks, Lofty Heights will work closely with relevant partners and stakeholders to conclude ongoing activities and ensure appropriate communication regarding any remaining commitments or referrals. Anyone currently receiving support, or with an active referral or commitment, will be contacted directly as part of the closure process where relevant.

Lofty Heights would like to extend sincere thanks to its supporters, collaborators, partners and the wider community for their trust and encouragement throughout its operation.
